Dog found in biting incident

WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) A dog that bit a teenager girl on Wausau's east side earlier this week has been found. If the dog couldn't be located, the 13-year-old would have needed painful rabies shots as a precaution.

The girl was bit on the hand by a dog that was being walked by a man on Sell Street. She didn't realize the bite broke her skin until she arrived home.

The dog's owner saw news reports of the incident yesterday and contacted health officials. He says the animals shots are up to date. The dog will still be quarantined for 10 days to check for any signs of illness, then it will be returned to its owner.
