STEVENS POINT, Wis (WSAU) The 17-year-old who emailed threats to school officials at Amherst High School will be charged as an adult. His name was made public during an initial court appearance yesterday. He's Jonathan Cronce.

Police Wednesday traced back a threatening email to his personal computer. He admitted to sending it while being questioned by Portage County sheriffs deputies. Authorities now say there was no risk to staff and students at the school.

Investigators say Cronce was angry about the way an incident was handled between him and another student from earlier this year. He's now free on 1-thousand dollars bond.
