STEVENS POINT, Wis (WSAU) The Central Wisconsin Children's Museum in Stevens Point is moving.
They had been in a long-vacant series of storefronts at the CenterPoint Marketplace Mall. But the mall is scheduled for a foreclosure auction in May, and its long term future is in doubt. The museum has purchased its own building at 1100 Main Street.
When they move to the new location, the museum's floor space will increase from 5-thousand to 18-thousand square feet.
The museum purchased the building last year, and plans to begin renovations in July. The exact date for the move hasn't been set.
