Today's Hair Metal Monday looks at D.A.D.

Who?

Well, there's a couple reasons why you've probably never heard of them.

1)  When they first started out, they were known as Disneyland After Dark.

Copyright infringement + Mickey = dead hair metal band.

One threat of legal action later and the band has to settle for the less flavorful D.A.D.

As my fellow fathers know, no kid is inclined to listen to D.A.D.

2)  Take a real close look at the video whilst it plays.  Look at the bass guitar.  Notice anything missing?

That's right.  The bassist, and founder of the band, only has two strings on his bass.  How did THAT guy hire bandmates?  Probably like this:

BASSIST:  Wanna be in my band?  I'll play bass.

POTENTIAL BAND MEMBER:  Uh, your bass only has two strings.

BASSIST:  Yup.

POTENTIAL BAND MEMBER:  You know that's like two strings away from being an air-guitar right?

BASSIST:  The songs'll be easy, plus, I have drugs.

POTENTIAL BAND MEMBER:  When can I start?

[SIGH]
